The power amplifier, preamplifier, and control windings are separated within the power transformer to prevent mutual noise interference.

Leading exclusive electronic capacitors

The main capacitor, which determines the amplifier's sound quality, was developed in collaboration with ELNA. The Pioneer logo on the cover indicates that it is an exclusive Pure Audio capacitor.

Direct job

The A-40AE features a direct function, which bypasses all circuitry except for the volume to deliver a pure listening experience suited to musical content. The function isn't just a simple switch, but is finely tuned to enhance the music.

Standing wave insulators

The anti-standing wave isolator features a special design with no parallel sides inside to prevent resonant cavity formation. This allows for clearer sound localization, tone, and volume, while also contributing to smooth channel communication and improved fast audio response.
